An assistant is required to carry out the work of removing the tank.

1. We install the car on a viewing hole or overpass (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. Relieve pressure in the power system (see "Relieve pressure in the power system").

3. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery (see " Accumulator battery removal and installation).

4. Using a special hose (see "Tools, fixtures and operating materials"), we pump out fuel through the filler neck of the tank.

5. Folding back the mat on the left side luggage compartment, using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws securing the hatch cover and remove it.

6. Disconnect the wiring harness block from the fuel pump block.

7. Having unscrewed the self-tapping screw securing the luggage compartment upholstery on the left side with a Phillips screwdriver, remove the upholstery (see "Rear bumper - removal and installation"). Using the same tool, loosen the clamp on the tank ventilation hose and remove the hose from the filler pipe fitting.

8. Under car socket wrench on 10 mm we unscrew the self-tapping screw of the rear fastening of the casing of the fuel tank pipe to the side member.

9. Using the same tool, unscrew the two bolts securing the casing to the rear wheel arch.

10. Remove the cover.

11. After loosening the clamp securing the tank pipe to the filler pipe, remove the pipe.

Attention!

When performing the following operation, a small amount of fuel will flow out of the hoses. Prepare a container for draining fuel. Do not lose the O-rings located in the hose and tube connections.

12. Key by 17 mm we unscrew the fitting of the tube of the electric fuel pump, holding the tip of the hose with a wrench of the same size. The tips of the drain and supply pipes are sealed with rubber rings.

13. Drain the remaining fuel into the prepared container.

Similarly, we disconnect the other fuel line and drain the fuel from it.

14. Substituting a jack under the tank, with a socket wrench by 13 mm with an extension, unscrew the four nuts securing the fuel tank.

15. Lowering the tank, remove the ventilation hose from the hole in the side member.

Installation

1. Installation of the fuel tank is carried out in reverse order.

2. Raise the tank with a jack, while the assistant pulls (from the side of the luggage compartment) the ventilation hose from the hole in the side member.

3. Filling the tank with fuel, turn on the ignition to create pressure in the power system and check the tightness of the connections.

In order to replace the gas tank in the VAZ 2104, 21041 and 21043 car models, you need to do the following:

- Relieve pressure in your engine power system. After that, disconnect the negative wire on the battery from the battery. Pump out gasoline from the gas tank of your car using a specialized hose.

- Remove the rubber apron from the gas tank neck. Bend the right edge of the mat in the trunk of the car, and then remove the piston from there. Remove the trim from the gas tank and unscrew the four fixing bolts. Remove the bolt that secures the gas tank.

- Unscrew the tubes: drain and supply. They are located near the engine of the car. Now you can freely pull the gas tank out of the car.

After that, you need to diagnose the gas tank for damage, as well as various kinds of pollution. Rinse the gas tank with gasoline to remove all dirt. After that, rinse it with hot water and inspect for damage. If there are any, you can eliminate them with soft solder. However, make sure that there is no gasoline left on it, otherwise it may ignite.

1. We relieve pressure in the engine power system on a VAZ car.

2. Disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal.

3. With a special hose we pump out gasoline from the gas tank.

4. Prying off with a screwdriver, remove the rubber apron from the gas tank neck and disconnect the safety valve hose from it.

5. We take out the caps and bend the right edge of the trunk mat.

6. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the four self-tapping screws securing the gas tank lining and remove the gas tank lining.

7. Using a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew the bolt of the gas tank mounting clamp.

8. Using a 17 mm wrench, unscrew the fittings of the drain and inlet pipes, holding the hose tips with a wrench of the same size.

9. Loosen the clamp with a Phillips screwdriver and disconnect the bypass valve hose from the rear gas tank pipe.

10. Similarly, disconnect the hose from the front pipe of the gas tank.

11. Disconnect the wiring harness from the fuel pump.

12. We take out the gas tank from the trunk niche of the car VAZ-2104, VAZ 2105, VAZ 2107.

13. We take out the lower rubber gasket.

6. Return of goods of good quality

7. Return of goods of inadequate quality

  2. After receiving a low-quality Goods and a complete set of documents, Lada-Original LLC has the right to return the money for the Goods or give the Goods for examination.
